Rules & Regulations

1. Students should observe punctuality which is an important aspect of personality development. Bus will move according to schedule of Nursing Institute and will reach campus at 09 AM and return at 05 PM.

2. All students must wear the uniform prescribed by the Institute including apron in Hospital while on clinical duty.

3. The students- performance is evaluated periodically especially before : a) Lamp Lighting Ceremony b) First, Second and Third year State Board Examinations. They are evaluated both in theory and Clinical practice.50% marks are required for both theory and practical in the internal and State Board Examinations

4. Any student failing more than twice in the Board Exams or found unsatisfactory in his/her clinical performance will be terminated from the school. Student may expel or suspended from the institute for indiscipline or disobedience.

5. 100% attendance is compulsory in both theory and Clinical duties.

6. Students are allowed to avail leaves as per Institute academic calendar,. Any student having more than 30 days shortage of attendance will be detained. Shortage of attendance must be made up before State Board Examinations every year. No especial leaves will be granted for feasts, birthdays, weddings, retreats etc.

7. The students must always carry their Identity cards with themselves, it must be produced whenever asked, In case the Identity card is lost, and a duplicate can be issued by the permission of the Principal.

8. Students will be allowed to appear for Examination only after fulfilling the requirements including completion of assignments and practical records.

9. Students will have medical examination every year. If a student is found medically unfit he/she will be asked to discontinue. Any student suffering from illness requiring long rest, will be stay at home for recuperation. If needed the student period may be extended to another academic year.

10. Student can apply for scholarship from time to time, but they themselves will be responsible for the formalities.

11. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the institute campus. Students found engaged in ragging will strictly be dealt for appropriate action.

12. Serious disciplinary action even leading to termination at any time, will be taken against any student for not heeding to advice, correction and warning for misconduct such as:
a) Abstaining from institute/hospital without prior permission from the Principal/Class coordinator.
b) Not following the set rules and regulations of the Institute/ Hospital.
c) Leaving the place of duty without permission from the department in charge.
d) Students will be asked to replace or compensate for loss or damage caused to equipment.
e) Students, who marry/having pregnancy during the course, will be asked to discontinue the training.
f) There will be a preliminary period of 12 weeks at the end of which they will appear for an Examination to assess the student’s ability to continue the course. Successful candidates possessing good conduct only will be admitted as regular General Nursing and Midwifery student. A candidate must secure 50% marks in internal assessment separately in each theory and practical in order to be eligible for the State Board Examination each year.
g) Any candidate found copying during Exams (Institute/Board Exam) will be terminated from the Institute.
h) Mobile phones to be kept in silent mode in the institute campus.

Library Rules:
1. The Institute has a well equipped library for the benefit of the students.

2. Students must avail the library card from the librarian.

3. The books will be issued for a period of one year in form of (Book Bank), Only 2 books will be issued on library card for the period of one week.

4. Folding corners of pages, tearing pages and writing in books will be treated as damage.

5. Books are to be used with great care. If any book issued to any student is lost or damaged, the cost for the re placement or repair of the same, shall be realised from the student.

Books to be returned to the library before the commencement of final Exams/Board Exams.

Lab Rules:
1. The Institute has the well equipped laboratories of respected subjects to facilitate demonstrations of procedures.

2. Students are expected to be in disciplined while in labs.

3. Any damage to the equipment during practical session will be borne by students.

4. No student should enter the labs without permission from the concerned teachers.

5. All students must wear the uniform prescribed by the Institute including apron in Labs, Hospital while on clinical duty.
